Patience Pays Off

Thanks so much for your patience. After nearly a year, we're finally bringing you the long awaited Gas 3.0! The extreme delay resulted in part from a lack of necessary data for some promised new features. We're happy to announce that Gas Price Watch has quite generously granted us privileged access to their data, and have worked hand in hand with Interdimension Media to make Gas 3.0 everything we all hoped it would be. An extra special thank you goes out from us to them for their help.

Dramatic Improvements

That said, we hope you enjoy all of the promised features plus a few more, some slick new animations, dramatically increased stability, and a few new skins. We also want to thank the few who made donations and encouraged continued development; again, we apologize for the delay. We hope that Gas 3.0 will exceed your every expectation.

Gauge Your Results

Gas 3.0 introduces the gas gauge: your tool for maximizing your savings with the Gas widget. Simply input your average miles per gallon and tank size, and let the gauge do the rest. As you adjust your fuel level with the slider, it graphically represents the amount remaining and indicates the number of miles you can drive on the tank you have. Then, based upon the currently selected station on the frontside, it reports the approximate cost to top-off the tank, and provides a value rating based upon the amount of gas you need and the regional average cost of gas. The further into the green the needle dips, the more value you're getting, and the more you save! If the change adds up, feel free to toss a few bucks from your savings our way; we really appreciate it when others show their appreciation for all our hard work!
